Insights

What UAE businesses are asking us

E-invoicing

Phase 1 go-live stays 1 January 2027

Businesses above AED 50m turnover had the ASP appointment deadline moved to 30 October 2026, but the live date did not move.

E-invoicing

Under AED 50m? Your dates are 2027

Smaller businesses appoint an Accredited Service Provider by 31 March 2027 and must be issuing e-invoices from 1 July 2027.

Systems

A PDF invoice is no longer an invoice

Once the mandate applies, invoices must be structured PINT-AE XML exchanged through an accredited provider and reported to the FTA.

Corporate tax

Small Business Relief and the 9% rate

Profit up to AED 375,000 is taxed at 0%, and eligible businesses can still elect relief. Clean books decide what you actually pay.

VAT

Where VAT penalties usually come from

Late filings, wrong recovery on blocked expenses and missing tax invoices cause most avoidable fines we see in reviews.

Payroll

WPS and end of service, done right

Salary transfers through WPS, gratuity accruals and leave balances should reconcile to your accounts every month, not at year end.

Readiness

Master data is the real project

TRNs, customer records, tax codes and item data need cleaning before any e-invoicing integration will pass testing.

+

Businesses above AED 50M revenue must comply by 1 January 2027. All other VAT-registered businesses follow by 1 July 2027.

Do I need an Accredited Service Provider?

+

Yes. Invoices must be routed through a government-approved provider. We pick the right one and run the setup for you.

What happens if I miss the deadline?

+

Penalties start at AED 5,000 per month, plus per-invoice fines.

Do you handle more than e-invoicing?

+

Yes. Bookkeeping, VAT, corporate tax, payroll and reporting, all under one team.

Will I need new accounting software?

+

Usually not. Most systems can be integrated rather than replaced.
